This book that so many have pertained to as “insightful,” was merely a waste of time and money in my opinion. If you are reading this book thinking about how insightful the questions are, you’re obviously not very insightful yourself. If you’re reading the answers to the questions and thinking how insightful they are, you’re not very creative. The opinions this man offers as “answers from God” make me feel like I am watching a political debate between our worthless government involving a j*ck*ss and elephant poop.(Catch my drift?)If you really want a truly interesting read, try The Satanic Bible or the real Bible. The writing in either of those two books put this one to complete shame.

Someone I work with gave it to me to read; several people said they had read it and that it was a good book. I wouldn’t have purchased this book myself I had never heard of the author and never heard of the book. I’ve only read a couple of chapters and I’m really not impressed. The way the dialect is written for the African American maids is driving me nuts. It’s off to me although someone told me she did extensive research to make the dialect as real as possible. I think she missed! I probably will not finish reading this book.

I admit that I was hesitant to purchase an SDHC card that wasn’t one of the big name brands. I’ll tell you now that I’m glad I didn’t waste my money on a brand name. This card has worked flawlessly in my daughter’s Kodak camera for the last three months.
The Living Light Experience

I was wondering if I would really like this since I am a book fanatic and felt the need to actually hold a book. Turns out, I really love it. I will still buy hardcover and softcover books if I want them on the bookshelf when I am done, but for all others…I will buy them on Kindle. It is really terrific when traveling and I throw it in my purse to use while waiting for an appointment, etc. It’s also easy on the eyes and the device is very easy to use.

The Furminator removed so much hair from our short-haired mixed breed I couldn’t believe it. We looked JUST like the picture on the product package when we got done. So pleased all that hair won’t be in my house.

Our dog likes to be brushed, so she loved it, but our old dog, who hated brushes would never have stood for it. If you dog doesn’t like the pin type brushes, they won’t enjoy this either.

This has got to be the best pet product I’ve bought ever and I highly recommend it!

Title: The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger

Pages: 214

Time spent on the “to read” shelf: 4 or 5 months I think.

Days spent reading it: 4 days.

Why I read it: The Catcher in the Rye is an American classic and very controversial. I honestly wanted to see what was so controversial. Also, it was one of those “classics” that I did not read while in high school. In researching about it later I read that in 1981 it was the most censored book in US high schools and the second most taught book in high schools. It was one of the 10 most challenged books in 2005, but it came off the list in 2006. Those are some fun facts for you.

Brief review:
This book frankly annoyed me. The writing has very repetitive and had many aggravating sayings in it. The word “really” is used almost as much as the curse words that are prevalent throughout the book (one reason it is often censored–I would guess that gd appears 2-3 times a page at minimum, sometimes significantly more). And I assure you, both appear more than they need to, I really mean it.

Holden Caulfield is the main character. He is the epitome of teenage angst. His world is utterly pessimistic. He sees only the bad in everything except his sister and his deceased younger brother. He is bright, but is failing out of school. He is obsessed with sex, but cannot develop a relationship with a girl. He is active and pursues all the pleasure trappings that a big city have, but has no defining meaning to his life.

The book covers three days between him being kicked out of school and his untimely return home. Holden is depressed, hates everyone, exaggerates EVERYTHING (annoyingly so), and seems to have few people skills. In short, he is the perfect anti-hero and irritating enough that I did not like him one bit while reading this book.

I suppose this book speaks to the hearts of some disaffected youth, but they would have to be interested in drudging through 200 pages of dribble in order to find the voic

The book Artemis Fowl is a great book! It takes you into a world that you never thought that you world exsist. The book is about a young matermind. He is on a quest to trick the fairy world into giving him their precious gold. During the course of this book, there are true dynamic characters. There are also some very good morals of this as well. You learn that money isn’t everything and that though it might be a little weird a friendship is the best thing that you could possibly have; even when you are trying to trick the smartest technology in the unknown world. The end of “Artemis Fowl is truly remarkable. I won’t spoil it for any of you reader’s thinking about reading it though. It is a true piece of irony. I would recomend this piece of literature to anyone who as an open mind and imagination. This book truly is out of the known world. :D

So, the 1st scale I got unfortunately did not perform well, but William, the Vice President e-mailed me and replaced my scale and it works great! I’ve only had the new for a few days, but it seems pretty accurate and I’ve had 4 or 5 people try it out. The customer service was surprising! I was very happy! I would recomend this product and company to anyone!
