We have a yellow lab that sheds a lot when the weather warms up. I decided to purchase a furminator and was amazed by the results. The amount of hair that was removed from my dog was incredible. The first couple of brushes netted enough hair to fill a good sized pillow.

I recommend (but this may depend on the breed) that you use the Furminator once a week as the shedding begins. Make sure you take your dog to an open space where it won’t matter where the hair ends up, because there will be a lot. Don’t use this in your home, in your backyard, or in a frequently visited public spot because hair will be everywhere. If there is a breeze, the area will be a hair disaster.

Great product, 5 stars from me!

I have been using the Omron HJ 112 Digital Pocket Pedometer for a few weeks now and I am very happy with it. It easily slips into a pocket or clips to a waistband. It is easy to set up and easy to read. I like the way it resets itself to zero everyday. The instructions say you can put it in your purse. I haven’t done that because I am more active than my purse. The only improvement I would make is a back light so you could read it after evening walks.

Just got these in the mail, so can’t speak for battery life, but these are really neat for kids bikes. I have a 5 and 8 year old, and they love these little lights. They are about the size of a small egg… not very big at all, but they really are very bright. The headlight bulb fit perfect on the bike and has 3 modes. Push the button once and it flashes (fast like a strobe light), push the button again and the light stays on, push again and turns off. The head light can also be adjusted up or down. Very easy to install and use. The red light does the same except does not adjust once on the bike. My kids were riding in the garage in the dark today having a blast with these lights! I’d even get one for my own bike, if I rode at night. Very fast shipping also.

The omron pedometer is the best I have used. It is accurate and does not count every jiggle. This is the second one I have bought. The first one lasted for several years.

I was looking for a good vacuum to pick up pet hair at a local department store and a young man who was there to also purchase a vacuum convinced me not to buy the $600 machine but to look at the Hoover Tempo Widepath. Unfortunately the store didn’t have the model so I went home, got on line, and found this model on Amazon just by typing in “Best vacuum for pet hair”. Since the reviews were fantastic, I bought two vacuums, belts, and bags. One is for my son and future daughter in law. We were all totally impressed by the suction of this machine, and have filled up several bags already! The only reasons for giving a 4 star rating is that I thought it had a full bag indicator on it and it didn’t, it is noisy, and the hose is very short. I would pick this vacuum over a $500-$600 model any day!!

Both of my dogs and cats seem pounds lighter and do not shed for several weeks after I used the FURminator! Be careful on Cats when brushing right down the middle of their back and other bony parts of their torso, it can irritate their thin skin!

I bought this about a year ago, and I LOVE it. It was easy to put together. It does an awesome job, the first time my carpet was SUPER clean. There is not a stain this machine will not clean up. Without this our carpets would look gross (we have a 2 year old mess maker).

The Defender is a great product and offers a much higher level of protection than any other case I’ve seen, but it’s not foolproof. I have probably dropped my iphone about 20 times since got it in Nov. However, on Christmas eve I had it laying in my lap and stood up. My iphone dropped to the tile floor and when I picked it up the LCD screen was white with blue and red lines running the length of the screen on the right side. I took it to a repair shop and had to have the screen replaced. I too have the oil slick issue but its not a big deal to me. The biggest problem is the reason that I have dropped it so much is that every time I have it in the belt clip and happen to bump the belt clip even with my arm or hand the phone will fall out of the clip. Since the screen replacement and the belt clip issue I just carry it in my pocket. I work construction and have pretty much ruined or broken every phone I’ve had, but thought that this case would maybe help this one survive. Sorry folks but the jury is still out.

I’ve had mine for a couple of months and am completely pleased with the purchase. At first I had my doubts, since I’ve always had much more expensive component systems. This is my fourth Yamaha receiver, but the others I used for the kids, and for the whole-house stereo system.

I had just switched from a 9″ crt projector to a Panasonic 3000 LCD projector, and decided that going fully digital was in order. I spent weeks reading reviews, downloading both user and service manuals for about a dozen brands and models. When all was said and done the decision really was quite easy. This thing has virtually everything a person could want.

I have a large dedicated theater that is designed for both reclining and listening to music, or for viewing movies on a 120″ screen. I have carefully assembled a system that does both flawlessly, and I didn’t want to mess it up when it came to this purchase. This came as close as I could have hoped for. Mind you, it isn’t as good as my old system when it comes to sound. But then my power amp alone was $4500, and could power a normal full-sized movie theater’s speaker system.

This does have plenty of power for my nine-speaker setup. It just has a hair less detail in the sound. Before I could hear if a pianist hadn’t fully trimmed his or her fingernails, because you could hear the ends click when they hit the ivory on the piano keys. This doesn’t quite get there.

That being said, my wife likes this much better because she hated hearing every tiny detail, especially the bad mixing and mic placement on so many recordings. She especially hated listening to Midori play the Paganini caprices – hearing Midori slide her fingers into position when my wife had spent years believing that to be one of the best performances ever. She is back to loving the performance, and I have to say I like it better too. Detail can get a bit overrated, because you get the bad with the good.

As to video, this thing leaves nothing to be desired. On
