I actually purchased 3 – one for my husband and myself and a 3rd for a friend. We all love the features. It’s nice with the 7-day memory. You don’t have to reset, it’s just ready to go and it seems very accurate.
Pylones Metal Bike Bicycle
I like this product. I had it before and lost it when I needed to do a system restore back to factory a few months ago. I’m glad I have it back now.
Stolen Thermalite BMX Bike
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is truly life changing. I feel as if I am finally awake and aware. Also the book arrived in good condition and in a timely manner.
Gore Bike Wear 2010
I have a hybrid bike and the bottom of the basket did not clear the front tire. I can only adjust the handlebar so high so it didn’t work out. It did, however, fit well with some adjusting of the brake lines on my mountain bike which has a higher handlebar. The basket is 9 inches tall so make sure you measure how high your handlebar is from the front tire. It was a little harder to steer the bike with the added weight. My dog moved side to side when I steer. She is a 9 lb Shih Tzu and fit comfortably inside the basket. The basket did not sag at the bottom because it has a metal reinforcement that sat against the fork of the bike. I ended up getting the Topeak rear basket instead so it doesn’t interfere with steering and it can support my dog’s adult weight (15 lbs) better.
I put a pair of Monkey Lights on the front wheel of my hybrid commuter bike. I’ve used them through the winter, and yes they work in the rain. I mounted them on opposite sides of the wheel to better balance the weight, but there’s no getting around the effect of 6 AA batteries (and 2 PC boards) strapped to your wheel. Rotating weight is the worst kind, and you will likely notice the imbalance and added effort of one or more of these added to your wheel. Since my commuter is no lightweight to begin with, plus saddle bags, etc. I don’t mind the weight and chalk up the added effort to “training” ![]()
Now the good part…as other reviewers have said, these lights are bright and flashy. I ride in a rural area and I’ve been told I look like a UFO at night, visible from blocks away. The “full circle” effect is hard to achieve, even with two lights on a wheel, at “normal” commuting speeds. I can accomplish it, but only on downhills, or with extra effort. The added safety factor is a definite plus. The novelty is a kick too. I love seeing cars drive by with kids in the back palms pressed against the window staring in amazement. They also illuminate the roadway a bit, but not enough to eliminate the headlight. The control buttons are fairly intuitive, but difficult to operate with Winter gloves.
I’ve been using rechargeable batteries and have been easily getting 6-8 hours or more in “normal” mode during Winter. It’s worth noting that changing the batteries can be a bit of a pain as there is a velcro strap, and rubber rain cover which must be removed, and the spokes can get in the way.
The lights are easily, and firmly attached using plastic zip-ties and neoprene pads (included). Note that they are not suitable for bladed spokes, though I can’t imagine using them on a nice road bike.
All in all, I love the lights. I don’t think I’ll be buying anymore of them, but I still enjoy the added visibility and novelty.
Monkey Light Bike Light
Just got these in the mail, so can’t speak for battery life, but these are really neat for kids bikes. I have a 5 and 8 year old, and they love these little lights. They are about the size of a small egg… not very big at all, but they really are very bright. The headlight bulb fit perfect on the bike and has 3 modes. Push the button once and it flashes (fast like a strobe light), push the button again and the light stays on, push again and turns off. The head light can also be adjusted up or down. Very easy to install and use. The red light does the same except does not adjust once on the bike. My kids were riding in the garage in the dark today having a blast with these lights! I’d even get one for my own bike, if I rode at night. Very fast shipping also.
Planet Bike Blinky 7
We have had a different Hoover upright vacuum for over 20 years now, and it gave us GREAT service (we had to get rid of it because we vacuumed up some areas that had mildew and now it stinks, even after changing the bag).
This new TEMPO Widepath U5140-900 vacuum does a great job too. The big difference we noted is that the cord does not wind up very well like the older one did….. it is very awkward to wind up.
Another thing is that this new vacuum does not have a spot to pick it up if you are bringing it up/down the stairs….the older model had a little indentation to pick it up, which was very convenient.
The price was right, and we always love the FREE shipping.
Product works great, but I’m not sure it is a 3rd generation IPOD. Checked on the apple website with product ID and it said 2nd generation. Otherwise it meets expectations.
Master Lock 2896AT Bike
I love the Omron pedometer. It has been used daily since I got it. Easy to set up, easy to read, and easy to work toward my 10,000 steps per day! I am more motivated to walk daily, trying to beat yesterday’s numbers. Buy it, try it, you’ll love it.
