This book is about a boy genius in search of riches who holds a fairy from a fairy community for hostage to gain magical items. All of this was done just because he found a magical book for fairies.

I think this book was good only in the first half and then it went downhill from there. In the beginning the book caught your attention with interesting phrases, good word choice, comedy, and colorful descriptive words. But in the second half the book was just about how the fairies tried to get the hostage back from him. The author could have kept the whole book interesting to make it better. — Nicholas

With so many reviews at an average rating of 4+ stars, I was expecting slightly better than this vacuum. I was replacing an aging vacuum that really had no issues other than being something that belongs in a museum. First off, the vacuum feels cheap. When you snap the front cover into place, there is no strong, definitive ‘click.’ It just barely pops on. The bag that came in the vacuum seems not to fit correctly (too long.) In use, the vacuum takes two swipes, when my old vacuum only needed one. It’s top heavy which makes it difficult to maneuver. My biggest gripe is the hose. Absolutely useless. It’s way too short and stiff. You won’t be able to get the back half of your couch cushions, no exaggeration at all. Add to that, the fact that it is top heavy and it’s nearly impossible to use. I bought a Hoover brand extra long extension hose, and it’s not much better, due to the top heavy-ness of the vacuum. But the hose was about $25. All in all, if I’d bought locally and kept the box, this would have been returned. The cord is also too short. It’s also the LOUDEST vacuum I’ve ever encountered. The only plus is that it does have a wider path and rolls fairly easily forward. All in all, it’s an ‘acceptable’ vacuum, however, I’d really strongly recommend you keep looking. I guess at this price point, it’s kind of hard to gripe, however, I wanted to share some of my frustrations.
Coiled USB Cable for

Artemis Fowl [...]

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer

If you like fantasy, you would love Artemis Fowl because it takes
place in Dublin, Ireland and has to do with breaking the barrier
between faeries and humans. Instead of faeries being the average
old fashioned kind, faeries live underground after we won the
“Eternal War”. The LEP(lower elements police) actually are
hundreds of years ahead of us and have evolved into a high tech
civilization. Artemis Fowl captures an LEP officer named Holly
Short with help from his bodyguard, Butler. Then the LEP try to get
Holly back. Artemis’s intention is to not hurt Holly but to trade
her for gold. The LEP decides to kill Artemis in many ways. Read
to see if Artemis survives!

I recommend this book to solo readers from eight to eighty. This book is
about a battle between faeries and humans but no one dies or gets hurt.
Artemis Fowl is on audio books, hardback and paperback. The best
feature is you have a code to crack on the bottom that is related to the
code in the book. This is the first in a fantasy series and you should
read Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident next.

I had gone through a series of cheap spring-style scales when, for health reasons, I decided to get something more accurate. The scales I had used before tended to be five to ten pounds off and did not give a consistent reading. It was also difficult to determine within two pounds what my weight was. Zeroing these scales did not calibrate them either. I would need to add several pounds to get it to match what the scales read at the doctors’ offices. It was an exercise in frustration.

When the EatSmart(tm) Precision Digital Bathroom Scale arrived, I was frankly skeptical. I knew that it was be much easier to read, even in a dark room, and that the digital readout with its decimal point would be more precise. But would it be more accurate? I used it for several weeks and could immediately tell that it was more accurate than my old scale. It gave me a consistent reading every time. On one of my monthly trips to the doctor, I weighed myself on the digital scale at the doctors office and it read 147.0 lbs. I was careful on my return home to do nothing that would alter my weight. Upon stepping on the scale in the same state of dress, I was delightfully surprised to find that my EatSmart(tm) Precision Digital Bathroom Scale read 147.0 lbs, a perfect match with the professional digital scale at the doctor’s office. My compliments to the people at EatSmart for designing a scale that was both Precise AND Accurate.
Cable 2 RCA M

Reading is my favorite funtime activity. But now with my Kindle, I just want to spend more time reading. It is so convenient to carry it with me and read while waiting at appointments, at break time at work, and of course during the evening hours. I don’t watch any TV so my Kindle is my evening activity.
I used to take ten books with me on vacation, taking up so much space while traveling; now my Kindle is filled with all my favorite literature classics to reread, autobiographies, and my favorite authors’ works, all contained in a light-weight, easy to read, easy to hold Kindle device.
I read two or three books at a time which the Kindle makes it easy going from one to another.
Thanks, Amazon, for all the free books I have downloaded on my Kindle. The Wispernet transfer is quick and I love the feature that I can have just a sample chapter sent to read.
My Kindle truly is a pleasure!
Cable Builders 25FT Cat6

The 3 books are interesting in the perspective they bring. They’re entertaining at the very least. Whether they are “divinely” inspired is another question. I’m sure some see Walsch as yet another of God’s spokesmen, or the Devil’s. I don’t elevate him to that level.

I do have to commend him though, he’s built quite a cottage industry for himself. He’s milking it for all it’s worth, with a pay for website, and I don’t know, at least 10 books in the “Conversations with God” series, with probably more coming.

If I come across as a bit sarcastic, it’s because I am, if these books are “divinely” inspired, I wish the Almighty would think of ANOTHER way beside writing books or using words to communicate by proxy. The method’s been tried to ad nauseum, and frankly it hasn’t worked out very well. Surely, being “God”, he has more powerful ways of communicating, but then again, maybe He needs a lesson in PR.

It’s interesting, on the more tricky questions of application of these principles that Walsch puts to “God”, the Almighty seemed to me to dodge them with rather glib and pat answers.

My point, and why so many of these self help and also religious books are like cotton candy, they taste good, but have no nutritional value. And that’s because the things they try to “teach” can’t be done so through words. They have to be EXPERIENCED for them to sink in.

That’s why so many people brought up on endless Bible (fill in the blank with any other religious text) classes, or those who read self help books (I’m one of them) still don’t get it, because they have no way to experientially connect with the teachings.

Words don’t conduct experience very well. Yes, some people find just the “right” words which “open” the door of their understanding, through whatever means, but the vast majority of us struggle with half baked understanding because the meaning of the words haven’t been experienced.

You have 2 billion Christians, and 1 billion Moslems (and increasing). With so many re
Coiled USB Cable for

It is so easy to use and very user friendly. I really love the feature of sampling a book. I have found a few books that I never would have read if I didn’t sample it. One thing that would be good if they could program a few games like Soduko or a word puzzle game. Sometime when you are travelling it would be a diversion from reading.
USB PC Data Cable

An amazing book! It was recommended by a friend, and so I thought I would read it to see if it would give me any new insights into the age-old questions about the purpose of life etc. I didn’t really know what to expect, but it blew me away! It’s a conversation between an ordinary man called Neale Donald Walsch (with a lot of problems in his life) and God (you may not accept that it’s ‘God’ talking, but then that’s up to you) and it’s written in a very easy to read style. From the first page it had me riveted and I couldn’t put it down. You learn about the importance of trusting your feelings, expressing appreciation, how all human feelings are rooted in either fear or love and that we have been taught to live in fear. As it says in the book ‘precious little is said about the glory of the most loving’, but an awful lot is said in our society about being ‘better’, ’stronger’ and ‘cleverer’ than others. Fear motivates us to be this, because we don’t want to be considered failures. All the big questions are answered: why are we here? Why is there evil in the world? Is there sin? Is there a hell? If so, what is it? Why do things happen as they do? What happens when you die? How can I have successful relationships? Is having a lot of money a bad thing? And inbetween times there’s also humour, because we’re told that God has a great sense of humour!

So many of my questions were answered in a totally new way (going to church or reading the Bible had never given me answers like these) and not only did they make sense to me, they were also liberating! If you’re remotely curious about any of the above questions, then I would encourage you to read this book and decide for yourself whether the answers are for you or not.
Retractable USB Cable for
