the iPod touch is worth every penny. i purchased the 64 gb version and i really enjoy it. it is replacing my old 1st gen zune 30 gb. the iPod is light, comfortable, and able to fit in every pocket i have. the only thing is that getting your music the way you want it on iTunes is a real hassle. if there were any other program i could sync with, i would.

#1 I believe in God, but not to the extent that I’m right of center.
#2 This is the only book I freely admit to having thrown into the trash bin.

This review is particularly of Nathaniel Parker’s narration, and not so much of the Artemis Fowl book itself, as there are already so many reviews on that.

If you want an auditory treat, get this audiobook – Nat Parker is a genius when it comes to bringing these characters to life. He does wonderful accents – there are multiple Irish accents for Artemis, Butler, Juliet and Angeline, but many others for the fairy people which are just amazing. In addition, his own, natural speaking /reading voice is so smooth , resonant and perfectly paced that is is a treat in itself. Unlike other audiobooks which I have listened to, you can’t hear him breathing – with some readers you hear every big breath they take and it gets irritating. He reads it perfectly and the great fun is in the rapid dialogue exchanges where he must manage different voices with different accents as well as the narrator’s voice.

The story itself, well, there are some boring and technical parts which I tried to read, and Artemis’s character is not terribly likeable, but the way Parker voices him makes you feel some affection for the character.

If you like the books, this is a worthwhile addition because of the way the characters are brought to life – and if you didn’t like the books, it’s a great listen just for Parker’s enormous vocal talent.

Ok, Wow…..I never thought it would be such a pleasure to read from this device. I have an ipad and you can not compare it to this. I can read in direct sun light and it is like an actual paper page. The experience can not be explain, you have to live it. The wireless anywhere is awesome. I buy my books directly from the device and I receive them in about 60 seconds. If you like reading I please beg you to buy this awesome device and experience by yourself what I am feeling :) .. It is super easy to carry and to handle. The buttons layout is good and I learned how to use it in about 10 minutes. Well done Amazon!! Thanks for saving lots of trees in the future! People think….No more paper!

I brush my dog 2 times a week for about 10 minutes each. I have always used a “shedding blade” tool on my Lab and get handsful of hair. When the Furminator came out I had visions of getting out more hair in less time. That has not been the case for me. With the short comb teeth, I have to constantly clean out the comb, usually 2 or 3 sweeps and it’s full. After 10 minutes I really can’t say that the Furminator did any better, or as well as the shedding tool. In fact, the comb on the furminator feels a bit sharp to my dog, and I have to be very careful not to brush too aggressively, as I do with my other shedding tool, because my dog acts like it hurts her.

I bought this based on the majority of the reviews here.
Very happy with the scale. I put a hand weight on it
that weighs 6.6 lbs and the scale read 6.4 each time
so I know it’s accurate within .2 lbs and that’s good
enough for me. Thanks Amazon for the speedy delivery!
