No problems with mine. Love it. I usually put my toe under the lip and lift up slightly to turn it on. I only wish I knew about the black one before I ordered the silver one. Great scale. Easy to read.

I love this scale! It is accurate, easy to read and a beautiful design. The only problem was turning it on with the “tap in the center” as instructed. My thanks to reviewer Elizabeth whose tip made a difference. It does turn on when I tip it up a little with my toe. But it also turns on with a light tap on the near edge. No more repeated, frustrated taps.
