Help is a story that so closely follows reality in its time frame, one has to remind one’self, this is a ovel.Characters and situations are only to familiar to anyone living in the South during the fifties and sixties.
At times laughing aloud and times cursing the deep predjudice this reader found ‘The Help’a very insightful and engrossing read.

I got my 13y/o daughter the kindle for her 13th birthday because she loves to read. She loves it so much that I hardly see her out of her room anymore. She uses the dictionary it to help her younger brothers finding meanings to words. She really enjoys her Kindle.

I have a 3rd generation iPod 20GB. I really have no complaints expect one major one. Apple needs to offer balance control (PAN) for those of us who may not hear equally well from both ears. It’s extremely ironic that Apple doesn’t offer balance control as Steve Jobs himself has hearing problems. Why Jobs hasn’t pushed for a prime directive for all Apple’s iPods/iPads/iTouchs/iPhones to offer balance control is so beyond me. There is a huge market for people with hearing problems who want to balance the sound coming out of either headphones.
I love the Kindle! My friend received one as a gift and I have borrowed it a few times. You buy a novel and it sends it straight to the kindle in less than 10 minutes. I think I am going to buy one. They are definitely worth the money!

I love my Garmin 305! I wasn’t sure I would care about the Heart Rate Monitor but after a month of use I am so into it. I only wish the “training center” software would be updated and that it was easier to edit.

I’ve had mine for about three years now. When mom wanted to get a similar cleaner, I made sure she bought exactly this one. Whether the new ones are improved, I don’t know, what I do know is this one works.
I just went through an awful period of an aging dog who had to be put to sleep just last week. He was losing control of bladder and bowels and had a cancer growing in his lungs causing him to cough up some really awful stuff. I didn’t even always have time to use heated water. The Hoover was standing by all the time. Even with cold solution, the cleaning was amazing. If you saw the carpet now, you’d never have a clue I had a sick, dying dog spitting up and having “accidents” all over the place.
I think my only complaint is that the top, curved, plastic part where the fluid is sucked up out of the carpet tends to clog with carpet fibers, pet hair, the like (no matter how well you vacuum first). However, I discovered it’s held in place by only three screws that are easily removed and then easily cleaned.
I paid about twice what they cost now. Still worth every dime.
